COMCOR, Inc., a growing company is currently seeking a responsible individual to fill the position of Director of Human Resources. The Director of Human Resources supports the Organization by overseeing all aspects of the Company’s HR department. Responsibilities to include: Administration of payroll, benefits, 401(K) plans for organization. Develops, maintains and administers personnel management, hiring and terminations as required. Staff Training & Legal compliance for all programs.
The mission of COMCOR is to develop, establish, and maintain community based corrections programs that provide sanctions and alternatives to incarceration, and to provide leadership and coordination throughout the criminal justice community. COMCOR offers a variety of programs for nonviolent offenders that help save jail space in the adult detention center, allowing offenders to maintain their jobs, support their families, and provide restitution to the crime victims and the community. COMCOR works with state and government agencies to provide these alternative programs.
* Oversee the HR department staff of (2)
* Maintain records as Personnel Officer, ensure legal compliance
* Prepare offer packets, benefits, packets and other employee related information
* Salary and benefit administration, employee census, 401(K) and other reports
* EEO and affirmative action oversight.
* Coordinate new hire packets, Interviewing and selection.
* Training, budget, and planning of staff requirements.
* Responsible for developing and carrying out a continuing safety program.
* Staff Management / Perform Annual Reviews of Staff.
* Update JD’s as required
BA/BS in Business Administration/Human Resources. Five (5) years of Human Resources management experience required with benefits administration Experience. Microsoft word, Excel, Power-point, Outlook.
General background should include: salary and benefits administration, development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures, employment, EEO, training, and staff requirement planning, employee relations, governmental regulations and laws, budget development and implementation. Knowledge of human resources information systems software and word processing. Requires initiative, judgment, human relations skills, and knowledge of personnel employment law. Physical demands include light lifting, walking, standing, and sitting for various amounts of time. Other requirements include speaking and writing ability, and auditory discrimination.
